o - - At th§ conference in Tiinaru'onthe 14th instant Mr Boreham, representing the Waimate Workers' Union, said that before he could act for his union the conference must agree to abandon "any appeal from the decision of the Registrar. This • being agreed to, it was resolved to alter the name of .the; nnion to the Canterbury Agricultural and Pastoral Union. It was agreed thct after six months, from date th< question of submitting 'a proposal to change the office from Waimate to ' more central position would Wsub mitted to members. The secreMry. consented to be present at the formation of branches at Fairlie, Geraldine. Temuka, and Pleasant Point., ~|ft Borehara would not agree to take ove> •\ny liabilities until his committee had investigated the matter. The secre fary would be empowered to enrol members of the union at Fairlie am"! Pleasant Point on his return ic Waimate.
