WANTED, POULTRY PRIZES.
TO TH7. EDITOR Sir. —Some time back you wrote oh the subject of poultry, and proved pretty conclusively, to my mind at all events, that poultry raising was a valuable business to encourage. One way to encourage the raising of good poultry is to offer substantial prizes for good birds. The town is too small yet for a poultry show, and though the Horticultural Society do give prizes for poultry, the amounts are small, and competition is never very keen. What is wanted is for the A. and P. Association (which is formed to en. coinage farmers to breed good stock and to grow good grain, and in other ways to do well at farming) to form a s-ci ion of their popular show into a poultry show. I am sura that numbers of people would go to see poultry who would otherwise slay away. Hoping the Association wil take the matter up next year, I am, etc,, Plymouth Rock.
