The Premier has received a cablegram from his son, Captain Seddon, stating that ho and Captain Saxby and Sergeants Cunningham and Matthews were embarking on the Tongariro for New Zealand. Mr A. B. Worthington, who was for some time leader of the " Students of Truth" in Christchurch, has been appointed minister of the Unitarian (Jhureh in •'Sydney.. Messrs Spreokles have cabled to their representative at Auckland that they cannot accept the Government's proposals for a new mail contract.
