At a meeting of the Tinjaru Harbour Board on Friday, Mr A. E. Austin M.I.C.E. of Masterton was appointed Resident Engineer, to the Board. The Hon. M. Hoi nea M.L.O. died at Wellington on Friday. Deceased was well known all over the colony as a breeder and importer of pedigree .-trick. At a meeting of the Waimate Branch of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union on Saturday, Mr W, F. Ward of Waihao Downs wai appointed to act as delegate for the branch at the provincial conference. In the event of another delegate being required Mr J. Corcoran of W aikakahi was elected.
