entry of fat sheep was the largest for some weeks p«r, and comprised aome go-id lines of crossbred wethers and ewes and merino wethers. The market open d wtll for all classes. Cattle.—The supply of beef comprised 155 head of very fair quality cattle, and there wag a good sale right through, last week's, rates being fully maintained. Fifteen bullocks from the North Island made £ll 10s to £l4 10s; four steers' from the Canterbury Agricultural College, £lO 10s to £l4 ss; other steers, £7 to £lO 17s 6d : heifers, £6 to £9 15i; cows, Xs ls* to £8 10s, equal to 2ls to 26* per lOOlbs. Pigs.—Pigs were again offered in large numbers, baconers being easier and porkers not selling quite so freely as last week. Large stores met with a brisk sale, but smaller sorts were not so much sought after. Baooners made 36s to 64s 6d, equal to 3Jd to 3|d per lb; porkers, 20s to 325, equal to 2£d to 3d per lb ; large stores, 16s to 23a; smaller, lis to 108; suckers and weaners, 6s to Bs.
