ATWILL. ■fICTOTICE is hereby given that it is, 1. v the intention of George LyaLl and David Stowbdl, of Pareora, Farmers, on bobali ot tnemselves and Gib©, 1 ratepayers in the Upper and Lower Pareora Ridings of the Waim, te County, to introduce in the present session ot Parliament the Levels and Waimate Counties Boundaries Alte#Mtiou Bill, particulars whereof are as follows-; — An Act to alter the Boundaries of the Levels and Waimate Counties. J Be it enacted by the General 5 Assembly of New Zealand' in Parlia* monl assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows ; 1. The short title of this Act is “The Levels and Waimate Counties Boundaries Alteration Act, 1901.” 2. From and after the coming into operation of this Act the Levels County shall include all that portion of the Waimate County particularly described in the schedule hereto, and the boundaries of the Levels County and of the Waimate County are , altered accordingly. 3. No local body or authority other than the Levels County Council shall hereafter, within the limits of the area described in the schedule hereto, be created or exercise any jurisdiction or authority over any roads or over or in relation to any matter or thing in respect of which jurisdiction is conferred upon a County Council unde- ■ the provisions of “ The Counties Ad, 1836,” or any amendments thereof o; otherwise. 1 SCHEDULE. ALL that area, being part ot th e Waimate County, bounded as- follows :—On the north by the Mackenzie and Levels Counties; on the east by the sea ; on the south by the centre line of the Otaio River to the source thereof; thence due west from said source to the northern branch of the Waihao River, passing'through the northernmost corner of R.S. 31751; thence generally northerly along the northern branch of the Waihao River to its source; thence due west from said source to the Hakateramea River, passing through and 5 chains north of the nor hernmost corner of R.S. 26501; thence northerly along the central line, of the Hakateramea River to its junction with the B.isthoru boundary of the Mackenzie County, and- which area as above defined comprises the Upper and Lower Pareora Ridings of the Waimate County.
