Northcote’s Comedy Company.
As will be noticed by advertisement elsewhere, Nocthcote s Dramatic and Comely Company will open for a season of two nights at the Oddfellows’ Hall on Monday and Tuesday next. The company has been playing with much success in Christchurch during the past twelve weeks, a fact which in itself speaks for the excellence of the entertainment provided. The opening production is announced as “ Fun on the Bristol,” a musical comedy, staged in two "acts, which keeps the audience in peals of laughter. Popular prices will be observed, and as it is some time since we were favoured with the visit of a good comedy company, Northcote’s combination is sure to meet with a warm reception on Monday evening. On Tuesday evening the Company will appear again, when the Irish drama, “ Kathleen Mavourneen,” will be played.
