He was also Past Gland lh ;: -v of the local Oddfellows’ Ledge, and many members of bota bothes attended the sad function. The ord.r of procession comprised the Waimat band, which played toe Lead •March in Saul” on leaving deceaseds, late residence, the Od.Uedows Lodge and the Fire Brigade 'in "drawing the coffin, covered with the Union Jack, and surmounted by the date fireman’s tunic and cap, on the -fire engine. The mourners weresucceeded by a lengthy o ow g "of friends on foot, in vehicles and on horseback. Three firemen and thieOddfellows acted as pall bearers. The service at St. Augustine s Church, o. which deceased was formerly a church wnden was conducted by the E-V. McKenzie Gibson. At the grave P.G.N. Bro. C. Jackson read the im ipres-iva service of the Order after the th-.rch service. The late Mr Waus took no active part in local pohucs of hue yqars, but he has from time to tim- occupied a seat on the Burou h Corn C : 1 School Committee, and other public bodies, and won the respect of all who knew him by his earnest attention to the business ho undertook. His removal at a comparatively early age is deplored by a wide circle of ’friends. The funeral of the late Mr Worthy Lacker, for the past, 20 years head Von-hman at the Waiiimte Estate, took place yesterday afternoon, a large number of friends fohpwmg tl e remains ’to their last resting place. The cortege left Sludhohae Junction far St. Augustine'S Church, thence tc YWumito cemetery, the Borvicos_bemfe conducted by the Bev. McKenzu Gibson. The late Mrs Wall, mother of Mi Peter Wall, was interred in WaitmL cemeterv yesterday morning. im cjlu <'o left the hospitalfor St. Patrick Church, a good number of o Mr Wall and his late mother bemi pc'-sont.
