A slight advance in the price of potatoes has again taken place. Oats are worth Is fid per bushel, country stations, sacks extra. This'is an all-round quotation, and prime samples of Canadians are worth Is 7d to Is Bd. There are plenty of buyers for oats just now, but growers are holding for a better market in a good many cases. Wheat is firm at 2s per bushel for Velvet and Bcd-ohaif, while the better samples of Tuscan can be readily sold at from 2s 4d to 2s s£d per bushel, according to sample. Malting barley can be •mid at 3s to 3s 3£d per bushel; feed barley, at la 3d to Is 6d; and Cape barley is worth Is 9d to 2s. A good deal of the samples of grain now coming to hand has been touched by <jhe weather, :<nd consequently values vary a good deal. Since last week potatoes have increased in va'ue to the extent of 7s fid per ton, but still farmers are pitting, and business is not very brisk. There are plenty of buyers now, but growers are holding for a better price, flood Derwents are worth £4 5s to £4 10s per ton to-day.
