0 The monthly meeting of the B iard was held yesterday; present—Messrs J. Sinclair (chairman), Handle, Atwill, Inkster, Stndholme, Ross, Douglas, Walker and O’Connor,. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. The surgeon’s report showed that three males and two fern ilea had been admitted during the month and none discharged, leaving six males and five females S'ill under treatment. The matron’s report was read and approved. COKRSSPONDDNCE. From the Inspector of Police, Christchurch, stating that the 1 ce could not be allowed to at end a cas ■ in the hospital unless it was a case of a prisoner. Two applications weie received for probationer nurse, and Miss B. Martin appointed. It was decided to reduce the period of probation from three months to one. The visitors for the month reported everything satisfactory. Messts Walker and O’Connor were appointed visitors for the month. Accounts amounting to £76 Os Od were passed for payment a (i the meeting rose. *
