SOUTHLAND GRAIN MARKET.

Invercargill, June 14.

There was practically no change in oat market during the past week, but a very strong inquiry. Local merchants have now filled their orders at present, but as there'are other orders offering for South Africa, all the oats available for delivery may be required during the next month or two. £anterbury, however, continues to secure all orders offerings and at such low prices that tbete is practically no margin between the price given here to farmers and that obtainable for orders already booked. Deliveries will more difficult during the next two months, and as supplies become scarcer, it is possible that prices may advance a little. Business with Australia is completely at a standstill. Present quotations are Is 7d to Is Bd, sacks 6d, on trucks at up-country stations!
