Pigeon Flying.

On Saturday last Mr H. Saunders liberated a hamper of 12 homing representing eleven Christchurch lofts, in a single-bird race, one being liberated every ten minutes. Mr John Turner acted as timekeeper. Mr Saunders takes a great deal of interest in the ‘ homer,’ and has some good birds. He says there is very little expense connected with, their rearing and keep, antL their training gives a great deal ofpleasure, while there is always the chance of winning valuable prizes with good birds. Should others be thinking of keeping birds, Mr Saunders will be pleased to answer any questions as to the best methods of rearing and training. There might in time be a club formed here.
