On Sunday morning the Waimafce Rifles, under Oapt. H. C. Barclay and Lieuts., Hurat and Jackson, paraded 46 strong, and, headed by the Waimate Brass Band, of which there was a good muster, marched to St. Paul’s Wesleyau Church.

The Rev. J. Blight preached an eloquent sermon; from an appropriate text and to a good congregation. A duet was sung by Misses Dowle aud N, Williams, and a solo by Mr Sherris during the taking of the offertory.
