Waimate County Fas Oners’ Association.

A meeting of fanners in connection with the Association was held last evening in the Hannahm schoolroom. Mr A\ Walker, who with Messrs Douglas (chairman) and Aklmrst (secretary) had attended, was voted to the chair. The chairman brielly explained the objects of the meeting and then called on Mr Douglas to_oxylain those of the Association. Mr Douglas spoke at length, and was followed by Mr Aklmrst, who after a few remarks in regard to trade with South Africa, read the prospectus of the company. A number of Questions were asked and answered satisfactorily, and nearly all present joined the association. The meeting was convened by Mr Walter Dayman, a member of the committee. A meeting will he held at Makikilii on Wednesday night.
