Ail classes are signing a petition from the .Micl lauds district in favour of the suspension of tho Cape Constitution, including the Dutch politicians. Tho. Dutch newspapers also support this. .Mr Hendrick Smith ,member for Gratf Iviineß in an interview, said that the time had arrived to eliminate the Afrikander Bond and the South Africa League. At a farewell banquet to "Messrs Siraer and Mcrriman in London, Mr Sauer declared that the Afrikander Bond was an association cd protect agricultural interests. The movement to suspend the i ’ape Constitution is iikoly to revolutionise tho parties. Unless Parliament meets before October, which is most unlikely, the Constitution virtually lapses.
