The Methodist General Coi'feien] adopted resolutions that precedence J religious bodies at official functioi should be accorded solely on the groua of the numeric,'l p isitionof thechurcho apart altogether from any titles or desig nations by which the heads thereof ar known.
They also protested against any alterj alion of the coronation catb| h hin anj degree would relax the safeguards en suring the Protestant succession, or tha would permit the oath or the declaration to be understood in any but the ordinal 1 sense. The meeting resolved to ask tin Federal Premier to take steps to saif guard the missionaries in the Nev Hebrides. The union of the Melhodh churches is to be detmed general fro® January Ist next, and the nami Methodist Church of Australasia to bi adopted, notwithstanding the non-inclo sion of the Primitive Methodists of Zealand.
