Dunedin, May 22. At the yards to-day there was a fair attendance, and the following are prices obtained : Cattle—2ls were yarded, prices ruling about lO.i lower than Inst week. Best bullocks, £8 to £9 5-!; medium, £6 to £7 15s; best cows and heifers, £3 to £6 Iss; medium, £4 5s to £4 15s. Sheep—l3s2 were penned, prices ruling slightly firmer. Best wethers, 17s to 18s fid ; medium, 15s to 16s 6d ; best e' e-, 14s to 15s fid; medium, 13s to 13s fid. Lambs—4lß were yarded, prices ruling much easier. Best, ils to 12s; medium, fis 6d to 10r. fid ; others, 7s to 9s. Pigs—B7 were yarded. All except suckers and slips sold in favour of vendors. Suckers, 4s to 7s 6d ; slips, fis to 13s; stores, 15s to 20s ; porkers, 24s to 345; baconers, 36s to 45s ; heavy pigs up to 53 s.

ADDINGTON STOCK MARKET. [.By Telegraph.] Christchurch, May 22. There was a medium entry of stock in the yards, and the attendance was not as large as usual. Sheep.—ln the store sheep pens there was an entry of 2600, mostly wethers and lambs. There was a poor demand, except for forward wethers, and the bulk of the entry was passed. A nice line of 775 forward cross-bred wethers made 16s, 119 were sold at 15s lOd and 121 at 12s lid; 298 lambs at 9s 7d, and small lots at 9s Id to 11s. The yarding of fat lambs totalled 2600, and really prime sorts sold well, the best pens making 15s to. 16s lOd ; ordinary freezers, 18s 6d to 14s 9d, and others 10s 3d to 13s. There was a small entry of fat sheep, and the market opened very dull. Cattle. —The supply cf beef com prised 164 head, and-from the opening it was evident that values would decline, but owners at first refused to accept lower rates, and the first three races were passed. A choice line of cattle from Motunau made fully 225, but ordinary sorts averaged only 17s to 20s per 1001 bs. Eight steers from Motunau sold at £8 2s 6d to ,JSS 10s, and fourteen heifers £'l Tss to JGB; other steers, 15s to £9 ; heifers, £i 15s to £6 15a; cows, M 10s to £l l2s 6d. Pigs.—There was a fairly large entry of pigs, and fats showed a iittle improvement as compared wjth \last week, baconers making 32s to 44s 6d, equal to 3£d to B|d per lb; porkers, 25s to 31a, equal to 3|d per lb ; stores, 12s to 21a; suckers and weauers, 4s6d to 9s 6d.
