Sale of the Ariadne.
The : hull pf the Ariadne, wrecked recently at the VVaitaki, was submitted to auction yesterday, and competition was rather brtek. Mr John Mill eventually became the purchaser for the sum if £215. The sale of cabin fittings took place in the afternoon at the hotel ya«d§, Glenavy, a great erow'd being" present.' Articles brought a smart figure, purchasers evidently thinking of seo.ucing j a j/ Boy.venir at any piioe ratfrer than of paying a market tfalue for the lots pat up.
