REDOLIFF SCHOOL COMMITTEE.

TO (SI BT*r<VK. StK, —If!t is true that on the door of the Redoliff sohooi there is posted a notice eaylng that some seven persona, specially mentioned, are to be elected as members of the School'Committee on the 32nd inst, I would wish to know your opinion on the subject.— X am, etc,

> Better r. [lf the above ia correot, it indicates an extraordinary procedure. Whoever is responsible for such a notice is either culpably iguorant or worse, and if he himself should b 9 included in the list referred to, he is quite unworthy of a seat oh any committee whatever. The " School Committees Act, 1891," clause 9. "specifically provides that the nominations are not to be confined to nominations beforehand, but may be takeijj; at the annual meeting itself, and that either verbally or in writing. Should any-of the persons included in the list referred to be found to have bad anything to do with the posting of it up, it i<? very questionable whether he should be selected as chairman oi the public annual minting. • Otherwise there is a possibility he might bo so selected, for the chairman of th* committee is not necessarily chair man of the public meeting.— Ed. W.A.]
