Magistrate’s Court.
(Before Rev. G. Barclay and Mr J. Sinclair, J’s.P.) Thursday, April 11th. A youth pleaded guilty to a charge of discharging firearms in the Borough on April 2nd, The Bench inflicted a fine of 2s 6d, and Court costs. Mr Hamilton appeared as solicitor for tho County Council in three cases of failing to comply with notice to clear gorse. The defendants had asked for an adjournment and this was agreed to on Mr Hamilton’s application. ADJOURNED OASES. Mulcock v. Young, a charge of using insulting language. Mr Hamilton appeared for plaintiff and Mr Clement for defendant. Adjourned to 25th inst. Knight v. Knight, application to vary order for contribution to maintenance. Mr Clement appeared on behalf of plaintiff, Mr Hamilton for defendant. Adjourned to 25th inst. In one case judgement was given by default. A number of other cases were settled out of Court.
