Accidents and Fatalities
Christchurch, March 21. At an inquest held on a boy, aged years, named James Beattie, who died from eating match-heads, the evidence went to show that the boy hud been in the habit of eating matches unknown to his mother. A verdict was given that death was due to phosphorus poisoning.
