Fitzgerald's Circus.

Fifczgeral 1 Brothers' circus is a, tremendous affair—menagerie, circun. gymnasium, vaiiety hail, undt'.' canvas. The items are very good. The tihe3fc star tarn is, among muny excellent turns, the maguificcu" trapeze act of the Duubar trio. Nothing more daring, adroit an; ! cleanly carried out has ever been seen. Then there is Mademoiselle Rhodesia, a lady juggler of astonishing neatness and resource. The versatile and clever Jandaschevsky (two ladies and one gentleman} perform admirably in some characteristic Spanish dances. The French clowns, Guillaume and Augouste, give an amusing skit entitled "The Toreadors," in which they are aided by " Black," an intelligent performing dog oi infinite jest. Then there are the GinnezeUas, most accomplish-cl acrobats; and Mdile. liosia Aq>nnaldo, the Cuban wonder, wh)<e marvellous but gracoful coxuortiou act delights the audience. There are many other new performer-, notably Mdlle. Katie Montgomery, a plucky equestrienne, and Mdlie. Margareta, who executes a flying act on a fine horse called " Ben." The programme also includes several of the best turns of the old combination, among which must be mentioned the lion and the elephant bicycle act. In the menagerie, by . the way, there is a three-legged pony. A great feature of the show is the high-jumping contest between "Newhaven" (who jumptd six feet two inches at the recent Brisbane National Exhibition) ana "Cadet." The performance at Waimate is on Tuesday next, in -thejsection opposite the Criterion Hotel. ,
