This- sale yesterday was very well attended, in spite of harvest operations just now engaging most of the attention of farmers. There was a yarding of 6000 sheep and 70 head of cattle. Nearly all the former were cleared, but few of the latter, owners 1 reserves being too high. All fat sheep sold well, fat ewes to 16s, breeding ewes to l?a 6d, younger ewes (sound mouthed) to 16s, fat wethers, to 19s 4d, very forward store lambs to 13s Id, more backward 7a to 12s. No fat lambs offered; Mx fat bullocks brought t’6 17s 6d per head.
