The Royal Visit.
Melbourne, Feb. 11. The Lieutenant-Governor has cabled to Mr Chamberlain expressing the grateful .appreciation of the people of ibo colony of the King and the Duke of York's sacrifice and devotion in deciding that the* latter’s visit should bo carried out. London, February 11. Four 42ft steam pin races are being prepared at the Portsmouth dockyard for the use of the Luke of York during his visit to the colonies. The pinnaces are to be painted Boyal blue, picked out with gold, and similarly decorated to the 34ft sailing barge. Februau'y 12.
Sir Donald Mackenzie, until recently director of the foreign department of the Times, will be the Duke of York’s guest on the Ophir. He will describe the tour for the Times.
