0 WAIMATE COUNTY SALEYAKDS. The monthly stock was held at the above yards on Friday last, when an entry of 5500 was submitted. The attendance was particularly good, and although the prices obtained were slightly below late rates, a yery satisfactory clearanoe was effected. Quotations are as follows.—Pat butchers' ewes, 14s 4d, 14s 6d, 143 9d, 15s, and 16s was obtained for a particularly good lot; forward two and four-tooth wethers 16s 3d to 16s 6d, store two tocths 15s-Bd, full mouthed J-bred ewes 12s 94 to 18s 4d, three-quarter-bred ewes, 12s €J, 12s 9d, 13s; sound mouthed three quarter bred ewes, 14s 9d, to 15a; *hree quarter bred ewe lambs, 15s; forward conditioned lambs, 13s, 13s 3d, 18s 4d; fair store lambs, 10s 6d, 10s 9d to lis; cull lambs, 8s sd, aged merino ewes, 6s 2d, 6s 3d, 6s sd. MAKiKIHI SALE. At Makikibi sale yesterday, the first held on the first Monday of the month, some error arose, and there was no attendance of auctioneers. This difficulty was overcome, however, and the whole yarding of 500 sheep, 5 head of cattle, and 10 pigs was cleaied. Prices ruled as under:—Ewes and lambs (all: counted) 9s Bd, cull ewes 8s 3d, good lambs 12s 9d, 13s to 13s 7d; bull £2, old cow £l, yearlings 275; store pigs 10s.
