The following is a copy of a telegram received by the Mayor : T have received official advice from London tb-night that the funeral of her late Majesty will take place on Saturday,” February 2, and in consequence that day will be observed throughout the colony as a day of mourning. Public offices throughout the colony will be closed. Sunday hours will be observed by all post and telegraph offices. Banks, mercantile houses, businesspeople, and ail classes are invited, out of respect to the memory of her late Majesty, to suspend business for the whole dav.
