A deputation from tho >Jew Hebrides Mission Synod waited on Mr Barton, as Minister fo:- External Affairs. A of their case was read. They accused the French of maladministration with reference to lead dealings with the natives.
The Rev Dr P.-i.tou declared that if the French claims were admitted a large p.irt of the New Hebrides alrea I.G)u:jged to them. The fc'ev J.
