The Trouble in China.
London, January 15,
Li Hung Obang, on behalf of tbe Emperor, has signed the acceptance of the joint Note of the Powers. Count Yon Waidersee has approved of the proposal of the Chinese Government that Prince Chun should visit Berlin and apologise for tbe murder of Baron Ketteler.
January 16.
The Chinese Envoys have affixed the Imperial seal to the Joint Note of the Powers, fixing a base for a settlement of the difficulty. Lord George Hamilton, Secretary of State for India, is inquiring into the grounds for the allegations of atrocities against the international troops in China. Five million*.people are suffering from starvation in the Shensi province.
