BOROUGH COUNCIL.

TO THE KDITOB. Str, — I have been reading with interest your articles on the cause i of the recent dispute in the Borough j Council Of course the whole thing j is a fabrication to kill the Town ! Hall Scheme. In is very amusing to hear tho stodes current just now, i and to see tbe attitude of some councillors. When the water supply scheme was mooted by tbe present Mayor there was a tremendous hoy/i, and now we find j the councillors who most sfcronglv opposed ib, oppoisng tho Town Hail because it irught interfere with our cbancas of obtaining ft water supply. Anything for tbe s,ake_o£ opposition. I have a littlo scheme of my own which I hope burgesses will not oppose. That is to hold tho forthcoming Fifth of November in proper style. We could have a Guy Fawkes and a fiae lot of erackars, squibs, v and other fireworks — and locally made too. — I am etc., W*TER.
