This road ia, being done, although it has been extended slightly. The road to Kelcy's bitsh is much cut "up bytimber carting and is being repaired, Waihao Riding. — Had received a further communication from. Lands and Saryey Department 4 re overflow o£ Whitney *b ibr'eek.' Settlers asked that the dam be removed, but he would recommend the clearing 6f creek. DdciQed'to give" Settlers notice to clear cre^k to protect road. , - The Pikes Point metalling arid the Wilfowbridge road contracts were in hand, the former nearly completed. The Skevington's road repairs- had b^eeu , finished and the men-s&nt to the IStoney, Creek, Hayes road and other works. . Hakataramea Riding.— 'Floods, caused -considerable damage to» roads and men have been serit to assist surfaccmeu.
