GLENAVY.
It has been decided to raiae funds by subscription list for the er«etion of a public hall here. No doubt stioh a building would be a great acquisition to the district, and the means of wiling away many a pleasant "htmt for many of the Battlers and thei* families. A ranch-needed rain fell here at the beginning of the week, warm ana uaoist, which ought to materially help the progress of the young crops.
