BOROUGH BY-LAWS.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, — It ia very amusing to read your report of last Borough Council meeting, when several councillors *x* pressed ehe opinion regardiug the bylaw on buildings in the innar ar«a, that it \v,\s "too strict." When was this ' discov»ry made, seeing that in a j former idsua the report of tbo prerioui j meeting showed the council wero unanimous in deciding that the Co op. should be pro3ecut«d ? Why this change ? Have they come to their , latent published opinion in order to justify themselves for not prosecuting - a worse offender ? I should like to make a few remarks on th« casa against the Co-op., taking for. xn y text . the profound legal inasiiu "Two blacks don't make one white,' 1 but, a» ; an eminent loonl L^timst would say, ' the case being sub rosa, rauna esl verbuna. — I am, etc. Lignum Fbrrumquk.
