There was a good entry of stock at Addington yaids and a large attendanca. Cattle — The yarding of cattle was made up chiefly of steers. Bidding was fairly brisk and prices showed an improvemeut on last qaotations. fcteers brought £5 12s 6d to £9, heifero, £3 17s 6d to £(5 os, cows £3 17s 6ti to £6 5s ; a few j dairy cows we>e offered, best selling at j £« 17s 8a to £7 ss. ! Sheep — The entry of store sheep was a large one, but competition showed a slacking off for all sons with the exception of reliable lines of breeding ewes. Lambs were sold at from 7s Id to 10s lid, ewes 9a9 a 7d to 13s lOd, wethers 10s to los 4 V mixed sorts 4s sdj, There was a fair entry of fat lambs, a'ddjn sympathy with the store market, only the primest maintained previous , prices. Freezing lambs changed hands at from 14i to 1&8 7d, and butchers'' sorts from 9s to 14s. In fat sh^ep th§r,e was a large entry. Fieezing wether^ a^oui main' ained their values, but otheVj 'sorts experienced a decline. Freezing sheep made from 18s 6d to 21a, fat ewes from from 13s 4d to 19a, and a few wethers for butchers' purposes 22s 6d. Pigs — There was rather a small entry of pigs. Though competition was a little better, prices were about the same as last week, though in one or two instance! good figures were reached. Baconera made from 30s to 34s 6d, equal to about 3d per lb. and one or two of especially good quality went up to 40« ; pomers brought from 20s to 30s, equal to under 4d per lb ; suckeqs 3s to 3s 3d ; Btores weie not in much demand, and sold at 6s to 15d.
