Combined Bazaar.
To-day the long-looked-for Combined Bazaar will open, and ' if the reality is up to expectations, ; it will be the best bazaar ever held, in Wai mate. For the first time r in the history of bazaars here,' there is plenty of room both for' buyers and sellers. The Volunteer Hall, which is a very large building, has been laid out to the beatadvantage, the produce stall, cake, stall and refreshment i-uooa occupying the right side, the stalls for soft goods running ' up ihe centre, and the left side juemjp partitioned off to include a coocert room, a Gipsy tent and $"' shooting gallery. The coueert-i room will hold about 100 people^ and will be used for drain.itio' performances and musical items! ; The Gipsy tent will be occupied' by a real, live Gipsy, brought 1 thousands of miles for thisentertainment, and the shooting gallery wi'l be under the excellent management of Mr W. Nelson.; As regarda the centre stalls, we, will say nothing, being a mere mule, and not able to pass aa opinion on the goods displayed. Q.he oommittee have been presented with about £40 worth ot produce, which will be sold at the bazaar, and they wish it to ha known that any donation of wheat, oats, potatoes, etc , will bo most thankfully accepted. The cake stall and the refreshment room will be strong features of the bazaar, and, being in very good hands, will pleaso those who patronise them. We haven't had a bazaar for some years, but now we are having one, the committee appointed have spared no pains to make it as good as possible. A band will play outside the bazaar each evening it is open.
