GEMERAL FRENCH'S SCOUT.
General French's staff scout, Morris by name, has bad plenty of experience. He has fought in Ashanti, in Egypt, in Benin, and in Matabeleland, where, by xha way, he acted as scout with Colonel Baden-Powell. Morvis was liaxt associated with the Raid, being 'one of the five men who escaped. He was not satisfied with adventure even then, and during the HispanoAmerican war he was fighting with the American irregulars. During the present campaign b« has Seen seyvice at Rensburg, Colosburg, * Coloskop. and Arundel, Morris has a great aftection for Mr Ehodes, and he has long been poirjoually known to him.
