Messrs Donald Beid and Co. report that prices ruled as under at their auction sale to-day :—: — Oata. — Wo submitted a srnaU catalogue, mostly medium quality, for vhich there was poor competition from i small gathering of buyers. We quota orime milling, Is 10£ d to Is lid ; good o best feed, Is 9d to Is lOd ; medium md inferior, Is 8d to Is B£d per bushel mcks extra). Wheat. — Prime milling of all sorts * in fair demand at late quotations, or medium quality, there is no enquiry. Fowl wheat is offering freelj at late values. We quote : — Prime milling, 2s 5d to 2s 6d ; medium, 2s 2d to 2s 4d ; whole fowl wheat, lslld to 2s ; broken and damaged, Is 9d to Is lOdper bushel (sacks in). Potatoes* — Heavier supplies came forward for to-day's sale, and values show a slight decline on late rates. Best Derwents sold at £2 12s 6d to £2 15s; others, £2 10s per ton (sacks in). Chaff. — The market is moderately supplied, and all offered to day met fair competition, and was quitted at satisfactory prices. Best oaten sheaf sold at £3 to £3 5s ; fair to good sold at £2 15s to £2 17s 6d ; medium and inferior sold at £2 5s to £2 10s.
