TO THE EDITOR. Sir,— rlt may interest your readers to know that I wired to the Eight Hon. the Premier on the following morning an account of the splendid meeting held at Waiuiate. and that I have received from him the subjoined : — " To Hon. \V. J. Steward. Your telegram, re p'atiricrtic meeting held at Wannate, is to hand. I am delighted to find that.a feeling of loyalty to the Mother Country and an earnest desire to help her in the Transvaal are to be found existing throughout the length ai.d breadth of the couutry. —R.
