Commercial o DUNEDIN MARKETS. (By Telegraph.) Dunedin, Jan. 8. Messrs Donald Reid and Co. report that prices ruled as under at their auction sale to day ;—; — Oats — We catalogued a selection of medium to good feed oatf. All offered met good competition, and were cleared afc prices fully equal to late quotations. Wn quote prime milling at 2s Id, good to best feed Is lid, medium at Is lOd to Is lid per bushel, sacks extra. A'heat. — In milling quantity there is not much business passing, buyers' requirements being confined to choice lots of velvet and tuscan for milling purposes. We submitted several lines of fowl wheat, and cleared some at for whole wheat 2s Id to 2s 2d, broken, etc., Is 9£d to Is lOd. Wo^qnote prime milling 2s s\d kr2s 6d, medium 25. 3d to 2s 5d bushel, sacks in. Potatoes. — We offered a few lines of Derwents, for which there was poor competiiion. We quote bbst £3 to £3 10s per ton, sacks in. \,- Chaff. — The market bare of prime Odt sheaf, and we have strong inquiries, for a quantity of this class. Re showing the preference given to prime chaff a small lot of choice quality realised £3 5s per ton, whole* medium quality was almost unsaleable. We quote best oaten sheaf £3 5s to £3 10s, good £1 13s to £2, inferiyr and medium £2 to £2 10s per ton, bags extra.
