TO THE EDITOR. Sir, — T quite endorse the opinion o Mr John G'llo's lotter in your las i^sue, re calling tenders for cutting c H-U-,!oot on the county road I*.1 *. Last j# ,'b tender for Deep Creek Hiding \\a< let for *Sl, for about 100 miles ot road, or haidly enough to pay the •tdvei tiding If the object of the Council is to dear the roads of grass etc , this plan will not answer, as the.v do not bind the successful (?) tenderer to cut the grass. My humble opinion is, that 6\erv ratepayer should ha\e the nglu to cut the cocksfoot along his respective bound, ay. In hict, it should belong to him if he choices to make use of it, and the : ioarlb would be more likely to be kept clear than if one man had to do all. I uehe\6 this is the rpiwion of every fanner in the county, al&o of the county overseer, as stated in 3'our issle of the •ith inst. All other councils north 01 south act as I suggest Wairuate should. — I am, etc., T. S. Hardy.
