STUDHOLME JUNCTION SALE.
Messrs Guinness and LeCren (per D. P". McLean, Agent) report that at this sale yesterday there was a yarding of about 2000 sheep and 130 head of cattle. The entry of sheep was not as good as was expected ; but that was caused by several lots of ewes not •coming ferward owing to lambing commencing. A rather dragging sale remitted, and the bulk of the entries -were passed on at auction ; although a Liir number were placed privately. Cattle met a very fair market, and nearly, all the pens found buyers either at auction or afterwards. Sheep.— Fat £-bred wethers 15s, fat ■i-bred" wethers Us lOd, fat merino wethers 7s 6d, well-grown | bred hogeats in good condition 11s lOd, 2 and 4-tooth f-bred ewes in lamb 15s 4d, mixed ages, 4-tooth to full- mouth f-bred ewes in lamb from >6s 4d to 13s 6d, according to condition, fullwauth i-bred ewes in. lamb 9a Bd. Cattle.— Fat cows £4 to £5 ss, fat heifers £4 12s 6d, well grown 3 yearold store steers £4 18s 9d to £A 17s 6d, 3-yeaif-old steers £2 17s, forward conditioned heifers £4 10s to £4 17s Cd, t-princers and milch cows £2 10s to
