Bobert Jones, charged with being drunk in a public place, did not appear. He was convicted and fined 5s or 21 mats' imprisonment. . A Waiaiate resident*' -charged with
being drunk in High street on Saturday night, was convicted and fined 10s or 43 hours' hard labour. Accused was also charged with using obscene language, was cautioned, and ordered to come up for sentence when called upon. M. Kennedy, truant officer, v. Edwin Reeve, for breach of the School Attendance Act. Defendant was convicted and discharged with a- caution. Same v. Chas. Hobbs, for same offence. No appearance of defendant. Fined 2s. Same v. T. Kuight, for same offence. No appearance of defendant. Fme<L2s.
