Commercial. DUNEDIN MARKETS. (By Telegraph.) Dunedin, July 5.
Cattle. — 235 were yaided, which was more than the requirements for the day. Prices, however, were good for anything prime, as the bulk of the entry was only of medium quality. Best bullocks ranged from to £9 37s 6d, cows (guaranteed not in calf) from £6 to £8 17s Gd, best beef sold to 20s per hundredweight, anything not prime ruled quite 2s per hundred loss. Sheep. — 1824 were penned, and prices ruled on a par with those of last week. Best wethers sold fiom 16s to 17s, medium weight do. 13s 6d to 15s. Ewes were much neglected and hard to quit. Lambs. — 67& were penned, and prices for Al quality were really good. Extra he&vy 15& to 15s 6d, nice freezing weights to 14s, and ordinary butchers' lambs to 10s 63. Pigs. — 72 were penned, aud there was the usual good demand for these, slips if anything showing a slight advance.
