Library Committee.

The usual monthly "meeting of th« Library committee was held last eveaing present : — Messrs Hamilton (chair) Scott, Dean, (sec), O'Connor, Mann, and Smith. After reading the minutes the secretary reported that he had been asked by the Building Society to arrange the cost of the library meeting room. It was decided to charge .61 for three months. Mr Coltman waited on the committee and reported that at a recent meeting of the volunteers, a committee •vas appointed to act with the library committee in the matter of a bazaar. On the motion of Messrs Dean and Mann, the following were elected a, bazaar committee : — Messrs Hamilton, Rev. McKenzie Gibson, O'Connor, Scott, Dean and W. J. Wills. The secretary reported that the canvasser had got about a dozen new subscribers. A list of those who had had books out for a long time was handed in and the secretary was instructed to write for the books or their value. Mr Scott wrote resigning hi* position as treasurer. His resignation, was accepted wiih regret and Mr Menzies was elected to the position. The passing of accounts for JC7 109 ended the meeting.
