Morven. (BY OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.)
What with (he houses aheady built and the numben on the load to compTetion, Moiven piespnts quite a thnving appearance. The 1 ail way station is ciowded with timbei and Oamaiu stone for the vanous stinctuies, and the mails aiiiving are glowing m bulk. Mr Meehan's stoic seems to be just the one business to fill a long feit want, judging by the amount of purchase! s calling all day long. The new stoic, or btore pioper, has just been commenced, and pi onuses to be a credit to the p^res. Last I'nday night the spinsters of the distuct ga\e a dance as a return to the bachelor?, and the affair was a huge success. Your conespondent was not piesent, but fiom all accounts he heard it tnust have been the dance of the season. The bachelors are thinking of giving another ball in a month 01 two, this time a fancy diess ball. I notice seveial sections near the township, in fact town allotments, are not yet taken up. When they aie, the township will be a fair size. Theie are two blacksmiths, who appear to be doing a. fan business.
