TIMARU MARKETS.
The Canterbury Farmers' Co-operative Association, Limited, report under date April I4th, as follows : — Wheat. — Tuscan and velvet, of which there is a good deal on the market, are only moving in small lots of prime quality at from 2s 2d to 2s 3d, on trucks, Timaru. Red chaff alone is difficult of sale, but we effected a sale, during the week, of a line of 1000 sacks best quality at 2s l£d f.o.b. Soft of any sort is only worth' Is 8d to Is 9d f.0.b., sacks extra, clean seconds Is 6d f.o.b. Oats. — Dans are still changing hands in large quantities, up to Is 3d for f.0.q,, and Is 4d f.o.b. for choice lots. Sparrowbills are selling freely at from Is 3d to Is SJd f.0.b., Canadian up to Is 6d f.0.b., this sort is, however, rather scarce. Danish Is on trucks.
