CATTLE. 133 head of fat cattle wei'e yarded. Prices, especially towards the ciose, were somewhat fimier than last weelc. Prime bullocks brought J6S 10s to £10 17s 6d, medium to good £6 10s to £8, light M 10s to £6, prime cows and heifers £7 to £9, medium to good £5 to JS6 10s.
SHEEP. % 1727 fat sheep were penned, which proved quite enough for requirements, ■and prices were if anything a shade easier than last week. Prime crossbred wethers and maiden ewes sold at 14s to 15s Bd, medium to good 12s to 13s 6d, light 10s to 11s 6d, prime shorn wethers and maiden ewes lls to 12s, medium 9s 6d to 10s 6d, pr;me crossbred ewes to 10s 9d. 605 fat lambs were penned. The best sold at 10s 6d to 12s 9d, medium to good 8s 6d to 10s.
mas. 134 pigs were penned. There was a keen demand, especially for suckers and stores. Suckers sold at 13a 6d to 20s, slips 21s to 245, stores 2Ss to 85s, porkers 37s to 435, baconers 44s to 635.
GKAIN. Wheat. — A little more business has been transacted, but this is confined almost exclusively to north grown milling samples and chick wheat. Prime northern velvet and tuscan is quoted at 3s Sd to 8s lid, prime southern do. 3s 3d to 3s Bd, medium quality milling is practically unsaleable. Good whole chick wheat is quoted at 2s 71d to 2a 9dj broken 2s to 2s 4d ; sacks in, terms. Oats. — The mai-ket shows a slight upward tendency, although no quotable advance has taken place. There is a good demand for prime feed at Is lOd to Is lid, prime milling Is lid to 2s Id, fair to medium feed Is 9d to Is 9£d ( inferior la 6d to Is 8d ; sacks extra, net.
