Victoria Park presents a liyely appearance of an evening now.' A large number of t competitors are in training for the 9th November, -which, judging by present indications, should prove a gala day' for lovers of , athletic, sports. Among others, I have noticed Dillon, Lay- ,. tham, S. Williams, H. Attewelli Wilce, and Hobbi, arid two or -three others from.the fiax-, mill - (running) ; P. Flaherty and ' C. {Wilson (walking) ; T. Goldstone, Seaman (Waitiao), A. Jackson, and 1?. Saver (cycling)^ I hear that Geddes (2) and Buchanan (2), besides riders from Makikihi and Str Andrews,, visit r the track occasionally. On Thursday, night, , J. Bichtrds, who is starting i «T bicycle shop here, was riding. " ' ' - Next week I will give you details regarding, , the different men. ' a J S J, C A , One thing I 'would- like to draw your attention, to, and that is the lack, of a diessing room at the' Park. v s Our wise* cbu'ncillo'rs^Have cut away the trees, for fellows dressing and rubbing down.
