Five competitors entered for this raco, vis., James Bonnott, James Quigley, — Matheson — Steward, and — Honor. This race, which was exceedingly well contested, terminated ai follows : — Quigly, first j Steward, second.

wrestling (Cornish and Devon.) Ist Prize, L2O ; 2nd, L3 — Entrance, ss.

Twolre entered for this, and were matched as follows : — D. Lobb and S. Mitchell, S. Cockin and R. Webb, Beatty and T. Carter, R. Cox aud W. Parker, Arthur and G. Bray, T. Collius, and T. Peters. The parties having been thus matched tho wrestling commenced, and Lobb, Cockin, Carter, Cox, Arthur, and Collins, obtained the first falls. Another matching then took place as follows : — Arthur and Collins, Cockin and Lobb, Cox and Carter. A severe struggle then took place, which terminated in Cox carrying off the the first prize, whilst Lobb secured the second. From all wo oan hear this was one of the best wrestlmg matches ever witnessed on the West Coast, and the skill displayed by the various compotitors was greatly admired. These sport* will be continued to-day.
