Saturday, Nov. n 6. At a meeting held last night afc the Victoria Theatre, Messrs M. Pond and H. Coglin, M.P., were both proposed i,o fill the office of Mayor. The meeting decided in favor of the latter. There was heavy rain last evening. Mr E. Eaker, who assaulted Mi* Harcus, has apologised to that gentleman., and the case at the Police Court has been withdrawn. i The Piince is expected in tow^ tlrp afternoon. " The corn market is quieter ; sales of Hart's and Dunn's flour have been made at Ll3.
