THE WARDEN AT THE WAIMEA.
«£, TO THE EDITOR OF THE WEST COAST TIMES. Sib — You will, I trust, pardon the liberty I take in addressing you; but danger to property and life are of some consequence. A party of men haying lately cut a race through the swamp into the sea, without putting a bridge over it where the terrace is cut, and during the time of high water it becomes highly dangerous to all passing. Various accidents have already occurred. The Warden has repeatedly had his attention called to the same, but without any effect. Indeed the district may as well bo without Mr Keogh. In fact, such an extensive district either requires two Wardens, or a gentleman of more energetic habits than our present Warden. I trust the police Aviil see to the matter before any lives are lost. The race is about a quarter of a milo north of Six Milo JBcach Post Office. Yours, &c, Hbnby MxiiLAit, Packer. (For r<ww»4#p of Mm m <u?i Fagej
